Lakefront home with direct view of Mount Rainier

When I found out that my parents were going to try and sell their house so that they could move closer to us, I jumped at the opportunity to help. One way I thought I could help was to design this website dedicated to the house. It’s nothing more than a glorified MLS Listing Sheet, but I’ve added some photos to it as well.

Come home to this Lake Tapps retreat. This 3 bedroom 1.75 bathroom modified Pan-Abode cabin has a private boat dock and 2 bedroom guest house!

Take in gorgeous views of the lake and mountain from one of the decks or large patio with built in BBQ. The custom kitchen and dining room with fireplace looks over the lake as well. There is a spacious, detached 2 car garage with loft and craft room. New high efficiency windows and carpet have been installed.

This home has many charming touches like the claw-foot tub in the upstairs bath and the many flower and vegetable gardens. This is a beautiful recreational home just minutes from the city or country!

Lake Tapps was created in 1911 when 3 lakes were filled together to create one that has over 45 miles of shoreline. There used to be a sawmill on site at this property, and when the lake goes down in the winter you can still see the remains of the railroad tracks that serviced the mill. During renovations, the current owners came across a giant saw blade. A reminder of the past history of this land.

A New Fascination.

Avery has had this Play-Doh for several months now. She played with it somewhat when we first got it for her, but interest in it soon gave way for something else.

Little Tubes of fun!

This last week though, she has found some sort of newfound inspiration for playing with Play-Doh. She will literally play with it ALL DAY LONG if we let her. We have to pull her away for mealtimes and her nap.

Last weekend, we had some good friends come over with their boys who are close to Avery in age. Their oldest loved the Play-Doh, especially the “noodle maker”. He pretended they were guts! I think Avery was so glad to finally have some friends to play with that she had an extra fun time that evening. Ever since then, she hasn’t put the Play-Doh down.

A word of warning though…if Play-Doh sits out too long it will dry out and crumble into a huge mess that mom and dad are stuck to clean up!

Avery is all smiles as long as she has her Play-Doh

Hello, my name is…

Hi, my name is Jeremy. I am a graphic and web designer currently living in Florence, Alabama. I am currently working on a redesign of the University of North Alabama’s website. Go there now to see what it looked like before they hired me, and visit again in September when the new site is launched. There will be some amazing and drastic changes.

This is my second attempt at a blog, (the first didn’t fare so well due to zero updates by myself) and I think this one should work out for me. I’ve got a better handle on what I want the purpose of this blog to be. There will be three (3) main categories that I will post under. Family, Life, Art.

FAMILY: Posts and updates about my family and friends. Mostly about my 2 daughters, my wife, and myself for those family members living in Washington to stay informed.

LIFE: This category will be general posts about life in Florence, Alabama as well as my thoughts and opinions of certain topics and current events.

ART: This is the category where I will update my current design projects, and post links to different websites that inspire me.
