Like most people who’s job is based around the internet, there are several websites that I visit each and every day. These website keep me up to date on what’s going on.
I thought I’d share these links with you.
FIRST HITS: (these are the very first sites I visit when I start my day)
- Pandora – I load in my custom radio station, sit back, and listen to only what I like all day long.
- NewsGator – This is what I use to Subscribe to RSS feeds. (I’ll share these links later in this post)
- CNN – I like this site for my National & World news headlines
- Times Daily – This is the local Florence, AL news website
- Design-Feed – This site aggregates nearly 300 design related blogs into one site. Great for inspiration.
- UwebD – University Web Developers. This is a social networking site for those of us dealing with the web as it relates to the higher education industry.
- FeedBurner – This site lets me know how many people actually visit my blog, and where they come from.
- Facebook – This is where I catch up on all the latest news from my friends all across the country.
DAILY RSS READS: (read from my online RSS reader, NewsGator)
- There are well over 50 RSS feeds that I subscribe to, so to list them all would be a little daunting. Here’s just the main categories I have set up, with a couple examples.
- Friends/Family – I subscribe to all my friends and families blogs
- Inspiration – those blogs that I draw inspiration from (the topics vary widely)
- Design – blogs from design agencies or just graphic design specific blogs
- Web Authoring – blogs specific to web development and authoring
- Home – Interior design, sustainable living and other home tips
So, I hope you found this somewhat interesting, and maybe I turned you on to a new website that you hadn’t seen before. If I did, leave me a comment and let me know about it!
Also, subscribe to my blog in your own RSS reader!
