Sustainability in glass bottles

I came across this milk company via a package design blog that I read. Not only is the packaging quite simple and nice, but this company seems to have the right idea on sustainability. Glass bottles are reusable in more ways than the plastic jugs and cartons you see most milk in.

Archer Farms Packaging

I can’t get over how much I love this package design for Target’s store brand of products, Archer Farms. Now, the wife and I frequent Target and I know that this packaging isn’t on the shelf; so I’m guessing that the line has since been redesigned, but I believe it won some awards back in 2006.

The ‘leaf’ shape, although VERY trendy right now, is quite versatile in this application. From the combination of the colors and sizes to depict different animals, to the clever use of die-cuts.
