Saving Green by being ‘Green’

// July 11th, 2008 // No Comments » // Life

An article I read on Cookie has some great tips on saving money while living green.  Your kids model their conservation habits after yours, so when you make an effort, the whole family does.  The article included a great chart outlining things you can do to live eco-friendly while saving money at the same time.  These little changes don’t add up to much savings by themselves, but when you implement all of them you can have a nice little yearly savings account.

These six actions are ones that most of us probably do already, but it is nice to see what kind of sizable impact such simple choices can have. “And for those of us who haven’t tried them yet, putting these six ideas into practice may leave you feeling virtuous and just a bit thrifty, always a good combination.”

Sustainability in glass bottles

I came across this milk company via a package design blog that I read. Not only is the packaging quite simple and nice, but this company seems to have the right idea on sustainability. Glass bottles are reusable in more ways than the plastic jugs and cartons you see most milk in.
