UNA

The day has finally come. On Friday, September 5th, 2008 I launched Phase 1 of the brand new University of North Alabama website.  This phase included the home page and most top level pages (except for Athletics).  Phase 2 will migrate all the department websites into the new design.

This has been my baby since March, and I’m really pleased with the final result.  Thanks to all of you who have helped me along they way and your encouraging feedback and compliments.

Let me know what you think!

What I read on the web every day

Like most people who’s job is based around the internet, there are several websites that I visit each and every day.  These website keep me up to date on what’s going on.

I thought I’d share these links with you.

FIRST HITS: (these are the very first sites I visit when I start my day)

  • Pandora – I load in my custom radio station, sit back, and listen to only what I like all day long.
  • NewsGator – This is what I use to Subscribe to RSS feeds. (I’ll share these links later in this post)
  • CNN – I like this site for my National & World news headlines
  • Times Daily – This is the local Florence, AL news website
  • Design-Feed – This site aggregates nearly 300 design related blogs into one site.  Great for inspiration.
  • UwebD – University Web Developers.  This is a social networking site for those of us dealing with the web as it relates to the higher education industry.
  • FeedBurner – This site lets me know how many people actually visit my blog, and where they come from.
  • Facebook – This is where I catch up on all the latest news from my friends all across the country.

DAILY RSS READS: (read from my online RSS reader, NewsGator)

So, I hope you found this somewhat interesting, and maybe I turned you on to a new website that you hadn’t seen before.  If I did, leave me a comment and let me know about it!

Also, subscribe to my blog in your own RSS reader!
